Founded in 1975, and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Timothy’s Coffees of the World Inc. operates close to 100 restaurants across Canada, under the Timothy’s World Coffee, Michel’s Baguette Bakery Café and mmmuffins® retail banners. Timothy's also owns and operates Levain World Bakery, a high end specialty bakery, in addition to an extensive wholesale coffee business that supplies specialty coffee to offices, hotels, grocery stores, retailers and food service establishments throughout Canada and the United States. Timothy’s produces multiple coffee formats to suit any application, including K-Cups® (individually packaged, single-serve portions of coffee, tea and other specialty hot beverages) for Keurig coffee brewers.
Timothy’s purchases the finest Arabica coffee beans from around the world and roasts these premium beans at its own coffee roasting facility, located in Toronto, Canada. Roasting coffee beans is an exact science, and Timothy's meticulous roasting and testing practices ensure that each batch is roasted to perfection. The result is premium specialty coffee with rich aroma and superior quality.
From a single cup of coffee brewed from a wide selection of Timothy’s K-Cups to a pot of freshly brewed coffee, Timothy’s offers perfection in every cup. That’s why over 100 million cups of Timothy's coffee is served annually, in North America, alone.
Through a master franchise partner, Timothy's opened its first overseas coffee shop in Seoul, Republic of South Korea on May 19, 2007. With a combination of great coffee products and a great local partner, Timothy’s is confident that it will develop into a strong competitive player in a growing market.
Since being introduced into the South Korean market in 1999, sales of specialty coffee has grown to 27 per cent of the $1.9 billion Korean coffee market. Korea is the eleventh greatest consumer of specialty coffee in the world.
In 2002, Timothy’s purchased mmmuffins Canada Corporation (mCC), which was comprised of Levain World Bakery and two key retail concepts: mmmarvelous mmmuffins and Michel's Baguette Bakery Café. The acquisition fulfilled Timothy’s expansion plans and helped to heighten its profile in North America. Today, Timothy’s continues to operate Levain World Bakery, and over 40 mmmuffins® restaurants and 14 Michel’s Baguette, in Canada.

Michel's BaguetteMichel’s Baguette is a French-inspired bakery café, offering freshly baked breads, pastries, gourmet sandwiches, quiches, salads, along with hot and cold specialty beverages. The emphasis is on freshness: In large Michel’s Baguette restaurants, all bakery products are baked from scratch, on the premises, daily. In smaller restaurants, some items are baked fresh at Levain World Bakery and delivered to the cafés, daily, while others are baked fresh – on the premises – each day. |
